This is a great example of a FRAUDULANT email scam that Carolyn Stahly, EEFCU’s CEO, received this last week. If you receive one also, please DO NOT respond to it. It is an example of someone trying to get personal information or trying to install malware or a virus into the computer/phone/tablet.
It is important to take a good look at emails or texts prior to taking any actions. Scammers are great at enticing people through incentives or claiming urgency. Think before you react, and if in doubt, contact the company directly to see if the information is legitimate. This particular scammer was not so bright considering the email was sent to the EEFCU CEO.
