This is an important announcement.scam alert

It has been reported to us, that several members of the EEFCU have received calls from someone claiming to be a representative of our establishment. The calls came through on caller ID with the name and number of our credit union and have not been leaving messages – we will always leave a message. Our staff is small and most of you are familiar with us.

Please be aware that EEFCU does NOT outsource any calling services with the exception of our VISA Fraud Center.  If fraud is detected on your Visa Debit Card, you will be notified by our Fraud Center—which is not on site.  The Fraud Center will NEVER ASK YOU  for ANY personal information.  They will simply ask per call or text if a specific transaction is fraud or not. Your response should be YES or NO. If it is YES, your card will be blocked and you should follow up with us at the EEFCU, so we can order you another card. It is important that you respond to the notification, but do not give them additional information – they have everything they need.  A EEFCU Staff Member may follow up with you.  We will clearly identify ourselves and we won’t ask you for personal information.

The financial security of our membership is our highest priority and we are doing everything within our power to correct this situation. Online criminal activity is on the rise, and we urge you to exercise extreme caution.

If at any time you are in doubt of the validity and authenticity of a call you are receiving from us, we encourage you to disconnect the call, and dial us directly.

If you feel you have been a victim fraud, please reach out to us immediately. We are here for you are ready to assist you in any way we can.

We appreciate you and your continued membership with Emerald Empire Federal Credit Union.
